more about me

As an enneagram type 2, I'm a natural born over-helper! When I say "if there's anything else I can do to help" I truly mean it. I love hearing all your questions, or what's making you overwhelmed, and finding a solution for you. This is why I started the blog!

Well, that and I needed a place to share all my behind the scenes fun and personal stories - which I share often! I'm an open book y'all.

Let's get to know each other!

the one who will take all the photos that end up on your wall.

Detail shots can be some of the most special shots from your day. Maybe that something borrowed is extra special to you, or you worked incredibly hard on that invitation sweet (which you totally did – go you!) and you want everyone to know it!

That’s why I take my time and pay attention to the little things!

You might be looking at all your “little things” lying out, or start putting them together and run in to a problem though – is it too much? Is this pin really a detail? … And then the overthinking begins! (Me too, friend. Me too.)

If only there were a list that you could have as a go-to-guide for all your treasures and trinkets! Don’t worry, I’ve got your back. Here’s a list to get you started from other brides like you and yours truly!

1. Start with the Easy Things

  • Dress, shoes, veil – check!
  • Rings
  • Ring Box (I’ve got a super cute one you can borrow if you think yours isn’t trendy enough!)
  • The Bouquet!

Now that you’ve got your basics, you can start adding more personal touches.

2. Personalized Wedding Items

  • Invitation Suite – Save the Dates, Invitations, Envelopes
  • Fans or Programs
  • Custom Hanger

3. Family Heirlooms

  • Handkerchief
  • Hair Accessories
  • Jewelry

Want to add a little more flare? Many brides throw in their perfume for the day, champagne or personalized glasses for the bride tribe, or matching robes and slippers for the wedding party!

Remember this list is simply a guide. Something missing here that you have? If it is special to you, it is important to document. Plain and simple! Don’t be afraid to toss it in the box.

Last but certainly not least, be sure to prepare your detail box ahead of time so you aren’t rushing around last minute (or the day of!) searching for your details. Then let your maid of honor know what the box looks like and where it will be – that way we don’t have to bother you while you’re getting glammed!

I believe in you, friend! Your detail shots are going to look incredible because after reading this I know you’ll nail it.

Happy Planning!
