When I first started shooting weddings and realized that this was going to be my career path, I sat down and made a destination wedding and elopement dream list. (Basically a bucket list of all the places that I would just fall over and die if I ever got the opportunity to shoot there!)
Now that I have a blog, I thought I’d share this list with you in an attempt to manifest my own dream location list into a reality!!
If you’re thinking about eloping, or having a destination wedding in any of these locations – you’d be making my dreams come true by booking me, y’all!
Something about the architecture, the romance, and the overall aesthetic of Florence has me dreaming of a beautiful couple dancing around in front of my lens here!
Growing up watching Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and Lord of the Rings – these large picturesque landscapes always had me dreaming of shooting something like this. While I know that LOTR was filmed in New Zealand, and the majority of Potter was in London – I can’t help but imagine the entirety of Scotland would give me that mystical feeling. Every time I see a photo of Scotland, I’m in absolute awe!
While I’d like to say it isn’t just because of the song Kokomo by the Beach Boys… it most definitely is. I heard that song so many times growing up that I decided to google it and it was one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen!
If you’ve not seen a photo of this magical place, you’re seriously missing out. This place looks like you’re walking on glass with how reflective the salt deposits are. You’ll think you’re looking at water, but it’s actually just a dried up lake bed! White, snow-looking Earth for miles and miles!
I would LOVE to get a shot at the Arches. Some of my favorite photographers I follow have shot there, and because I live so far away from deserts – I’ve always been in awe of the clay backdrops!
Is this also because of a song? Possibly by John Denver? Maybe it is… But have y’all SEEN THESE VIEWS??
I mean… I have to, right? I feel like every wedding and elopement photographer needs an iconic Eiffel Tower shot in their portfolio. Also I really love French pastries!! Maybe I can finally use that two years of French for something.
Visiting here is on my regular ol’ bucket list, but photographing a wedding or elopement here? BONUS! As I’ve said, I grew up in “Rocky Top Tennessee” but the Rockies don’t compare! They make our mountains look like little hills, and also they’re rocks – so it’s different. You get it.
I know this list could be indefinite and I’ll eventually add more, but if you’re in the market for a destination wedding photographer or planning on eloping in one of these beautiful places – let’s talk! I’d love to see the day when I can cross these off my list.
